Two people are dead following a suspected murder/suicide investigation in Santa Claus, Indiana.
Tuesday afternoon, the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office received a call from 48-year-old Jamie Adkins stating that she had just shot her husband.
Once on scene, officers attempted to make contact with her but were unsuccessful.
Inside the residence, officers located 49-year-old John Adkins dead with gunshot wounds.
Jaimie Adkins was transported to a hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Autopsies will be conducted in Vanderburgh and Spencer Counties.
