Two Evansville Police officers were involved in a shooting after they attempted to stop a person with a felony warrant on Covert Avenue.
The male suspect ran away on foot into a nearby house, but was forced out by the homeowner.
He then ran to another home and stole the keys to a truck.
Although he was blocked in by patrol cars, he still tried to get away by putting the vehicle in reverse, causing him to crash into the officer’s car multiple times.
Two EPD officers opened fire when he nearly hit other officers.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It’s undetermined whether his injuries were from the shooting or the crash.
