A woman raising two children was among six U.S. service members killed in Iraq.
Tech Sgt. Ashley Pruitt was from Bardstown, Kentucky.
She joined the military nine years ago and had been deployed overseas three times.
She was an assistant flight chief of operations and was an instructor in operating the boom on the KC-135, which refuels other planes in midair so they can fly longer distances and sustain operations without landing.
Her husband described her as radiant, “If there was a light in the room, she was it.”
