Evansville police have a suspect in custody after a toddler was hurt in a hit-and-run.
The call came in at about 5:00 pm in the area of Joan Avenue and Joan Place for a hit and run with injuries.
A neighbor saw the child being hit by a white Chrysler minivan that was speeding down the street.
Police found the minivan and its driver within an hour.
Neighbors say the child had a gash on their head and was unresponsive at first, but was alert when paramedics arrived
