A Posey County man is in jail following a crash on State Road 66 in Blairsville.
On the way to the scene, deputies were notified that one of the vehicles involved had left.
The vehicle matching the description was located with front-end damage and numerous alcohol containers inside.
The driver, Brandon Johnson, was found at an apartment not too far from the accident.
He told deputies that he did not stop after the crash because he thought it was a fender bender.
Johnson admitted that he had consumed 5-6 beers before the crash.
The driver of the second car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
