Warrick County Sheriff Mike Wilder says two people were killed in a pre-dawn traffic accident on State Road 66 and Epworth Road near Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Sheriff Wilder says a wrong-way driver collided with another driver in the eastbound lane.
Both lanes of traffic were closed for nearly three hours.
Both State Road and Epworth Roads are now open.
I have encountered two or three wrong way drivers along this stretch over the past few years. Not sure where they are entering to make it safer.
