EVSC: Small Tax for Field Trips

The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation has approved a new tax to help pay for “educational benefits” like field trips.

It’s called a “cultural institutional fund”.State law allows school districts like EVSC to set up that type of tax to support cultural programs.

For EVSC, it means a rate of half a cent for every $100 of assessed value ..
