A Chicago man has been arrested on multiple charges, including rape.
Early Thursday morning, Vanderburgh County Deputies were dispatched to the area of University Parkway and Marx Road.
There, they located a female inside a vehicle who reported that she had been raped at a hotel on Weston Road.
She fled the hotel as soon as the suspect fell asleep.
She stated that he had threatened to kill her and her children.
Craig Anthony Bryan was located and taken into custody.
During the investigation, detectives discovered that Bryan had traveled to Evansville intending to steal a small backhoe from a local business.
