Evansville emergency officials searched the Ohio River Wednesday evening after an empty boat was found.
Dispatch got the call at about 5:00 pm for a boat floating down river near the Dogtown Boat Ramp with no one aboard.
Searchers say there were items in the boat indicating that someone had been in it.
Water rescue, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, and others responded.
