Johnathon Buza has been found guilty of the murder of 27-year-old Manuel Heaton.
It took the jury 12 hours to reach their verdict.
Buza was found guilty on both the murder and possession charges, but not guilty of robbery.
The state argued Buza killed Heaton over money.
Records show that their phones were together around the time of the murder and claim the scene was staged.
Heaton’s body was found in the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife area in April 2023.
Buza is facing life in prison.
