Evansville police have arrested a convicted sex offender who was found hiding in a classroom.
Officers responded to a burglary call at Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church on Walnut Street.
It’s the same building as Joshua Academy Preschool.
The suspect, 28-year-old Tyler Johnson, was found hiding under a desk in an upstairs classroom.
He was seen earlier in the church.
Johnson has been lodged in the Vanderburgh County jail.
