United Way of Southwestern Indiana distributed over $1 million to six local non-profits.
The grant funds are part of its Social Stability & Growth Pathways to Potential initiative.
The six organizations demonstrated the ability to help struggling working families move towards long-term financial and social stability.
The grant recipients include: Evansville Christian Life Center, Dream Center, Community One, Habitat for Humanity, Neighbor to Neighbor Program, and Hospitality & Outreach for Latin Americans.
