Members of the Tri-State Amateur Radio Society get together this weekend for the international ham radio field day.
Ham radio operators will make on-air contacts with other operators around the United States, and possibly other countries as well.
The event is aimed at helping radio operators make contacts, enhancing their ability to function when emergency communications become necessary.
Another aspect of Field Day is to demonstrate the ham radio hobby and encourage visitors to get a license and join the fun.
The event is at the Evansville Red Cross on Stockwell Road and you’re invited.
