A Louisville man has been arrested on charges stemming from the fatal crash that happened on St. Joe Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
According to a sheriff’s deputy, 24-year-old Malik Stafford was showing signs of being under the influence.
A urine screen and an oral swab taken at the hospital confirmed the presence of marijuana in his system.
Stafford has been under guard while receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the crash.
The victim, 31-year-old Maria Guetling of Evansville, leaves behind her husband, Jason, and two sons.
