The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Evansville Police Department and the Prosecutor’s Office, conducted a child support Roundup on Friday.
The goal of the all-day operation was to arrest individuals who have failed to comply with court-ordered child support and currently have active writs of attachment.
This enforcement action is part of the ongoing Child Support Compliance Program.
Individuals issued child support writs are given a 45-day opportunity to voluntarily comply before having their name placed on a publicly viewable list of active writs.
A total of 10 people were arrested.
