Repairs to the iconic Glover Cary Bridge in downtown Owensboro will happen this summer.
The necessary maintenance project will include both sides of the Ohio River.
Crews will lay down a new concrete driving surface, along with other important repairs requiring a 90-day temporary closure.
This is expected to begin after the 4th of July holiday and continue through the first week of October.
Preliminary work will start early next week with single lane closures planned for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
One lane across the Blue Bridge will remain open with flaggers directing traffic.
Around 7,200 vehicles cross the 85-year-old bridge every day.
