The U-S Department of Labor has announced a phased pause of operations at certain Job Corps centers nationally.
The Labor Department announced Thursday that the pauses will be in place by June 30th.
The decision follows an internal review of the program’s outcomes and structure.
Secretary of Labor Loni Chavez DeRemer says the program is no longer achieving the outcomes students deserve.
The Job Corps facility in Morganfield is among the nation’s largest.
