A 21-year-old Evansville man is accused of stealing farm equipment and then trying to sell it.
Earlier this week, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a theft report in the 15000 block of Old Henderson Road.
The property owner reported several farm-related items missing, with an estimated value of $815.
An investigation determined that the stolen items had been listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
Deputies arranged a meeting with the seller, Braeden Hobbs, under the pretense of buying the items.
During his arrest, he claimed he was having financial hardship.
All stolen property was returned to the rightful owner.
