An Evansville man was caught with meth during a traffic stop in Gibson County.
The deputy spotted meth in plain view as well as multiple clues that the driver, 52 year old Larry Ames was impaired.
During a roadside investigation, Gibson County Dispatch advised the deputy that Ames was on parole.
A Walter P22 handgun and a .22 caliber Smith and Wesson were recovered during a search of the vehicle.
Also found was 208 grams of meth as well as other illegal drugs.
Ames is facing several charges.
