Rising river levels will temporarily close Burdette Park on Friday.
According to recent forecasts, the river is expected to crest to nearly 48.5 feet, the highest since 1945.
Floodwater has taken over much of the east side of the park, closing the main entrance and exit.
Currently, employees and guests should use the west entrance located at the back of the park.
Overnight campers have been advised to seek alternative accommodations, although some have decided to stay.
