One person is dead in a fire on Evansville’s East Side.
The call for a residential structure fire came in to dispatch about 6:30 Thursday night in the 200 block of South St. James Boulevard.
Evansville Fire Department crews had the fire knocked down in 20 minutes.
That’s when the crime scene and detectives were called to the scene.
