Police Officer Saves Woman’s Life With AED

First responders say quick action by a Mt. Vernon police officer likely saved a woman’s life.

Officer Zachary Adkins was called to a house on 10th Street for an unconscious person.

Adkins began CPR and instructed the woman’s husband how to set up the Automated External Defibrillator.

Adkins delivered two shocks and continued CPR until EMS members arrived and took over.
