An Evansville man, who had been making threats towards EPD officers for years, is behind bars.
Officials say 59-year-old Charles Brummitt was arrested for five counts of intimidation and one count of stalking against the department.
Brummitt reportedly pointed a flashlight at a patrol car and believes the police were targeting and harassing him.
Officers say they saw him shining a flashlight into the Chief’s office in October.
He has allegedly left notes with phrases such as “Beware…God is watching,” and “The day of reckoning is near”.
Brummitt is being held on a $250,000 bond.
