Avian Flu May Be The Cause Of Dead Geese Found In Evansville

Avian Flu has “very likely” reached Vanderburgh County.

That’s according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

That comes after several dead geese were found in the lake near the Evansville State Hospital.

Four dead geese were found there Wednesday morning.

A DNR fish and wildlife biologist says the birds most likely died from Avian Flu but that won’t be confirmed until test results come back.
