Duke Energy customers can expect a rate hike, likely starting in March.
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission voted unanimously to approve a rate hike.
Duke estimates customers using 1,000 kWh will see their bill go up $27.63 a month over two steps.
An estimated $20.43 in March of this year and another $7.20 by March of next year.
The IURC is expected to decide on a CenterPoint rate hike request next week.
CenterPoint is asking for a $35 to $50 a month increase to customers’ bills.
