An Evansville woman was arrested on Monday and charged with child neglect.
38-year-old Brittani Meredith was involved in an accident last fall that injured her mother and daughter.
When police arrived Meredith’s mother was in the driver’s seat while she was in the passenger seat.
They switched seats because she was worried insurance wouldn’t cover the crash.
The grandmother had bruising to her right shoulder, a broken sternum, and a broken bone in her back.
The child’s injuries included a lacerated liver.
A blood test showed Meredith had meth and THC in her system.
