CenterPoint Energy and mutual aid crews continue working around the clock to assess damage and restore customer power.
They have deployed nearly 160 internal workers and contractors.
Another 300 workers arrived on Monday, and 500 additional line workers, vegetation management personnel, and support personnel will arrive today.
CenterPoint expects to complete restoration for customers who can receive service by the end of the day on Friday.
There are currently 30,000 customers without power at the time of this story.
