A special judge has been appointed in the case involving former Vanderburgh County Commission president Ben Shoulders.
Judge Brett Roy will hear the case.
His appointment came after two local judges who had worked with Shoulders recused themselves.
A lengthy police investigation accused Shoulders of using campaign money to buy baseball cards and sports season tickets.
He was released from jail on bond.
