Owners Of Contracting Business Charged With Fraud

The owners of Key Contracting are behind bars and facing several charges of fraud.

The investigation focused on the contracts of residents of Vanderburgh County.

The victims contacted Key Contracting to fix repairs caused by the April 2 storms.

Homeowners had to make substantial down payments to the company, totaling more than $178,000.

Although some work was completed, the quality of the repairs was inadequate and in violation of the Indiana Building Code.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff says Jacob and Brooklyn Key exploited homeowners in a vulnerable situation.
