A Wood Memorial High School student was arrested on Thursday.
An East Gibson County School Resource Officer contacted the Sheriff’s Office after the student made threats.
The student was taken to a juvenile detention center.
They are charged with a Level 6 Felony of Threatening to Commit a Forcible Felony.
School officials sent a letter to parents letting them know about the incident.
Students and staff were never in an unsafe situation because of how quickly law enforcement handled the situation.
