The Indiana Court of Appeals has reinstated a lawsuit filed by the state against TikTok.
The suit accuses the online platform of deceiving users about its inappropriate content for children and the safeguarding of users’ personal information.
The Indiana Attorney General’s office said Tuesday that the appellate court took a common sense approach that Indiana has established jurisdiction over TikTok, which is doing business in Indiana and is therefore subject to the lawsuit.
