A former Evansville fire chief may soon receive a plea deal.
An investigation was opened earlier this year that resulted in the arrest of Paul Anslinger.
He’s accused of taking tools belonging to the department and transferring thousands of dollars to the company he controls.
The former chief has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Details of the possible plea deal were not immediately discussed.
Anslinger is due in court on October 2.
