An Evansville man is facing several felony charges including attempted murder.
The victim called dispatch just after 5:00 PM on Tuesday advising that he had been shot and the suspect had left the scene.
It happened near the Angel Mounds boat ram on Lynn Road.
The victim told investigators that the suspect, whom he did not know, pulled up alongside him and shot him grazing his arm.
The victim followed the suspect in his car guiding deputies to the suspect’s location.
64-year-old Derek Smith was arrested and taken to the hospital and will be booked into jail at a later time.
