A warning from the Vanderburgh County Health Department, after West Nile Virus was detected on Evansville’s southeast side.
According to the Vanderburgh County Health Department, a sample group of mosquitoes from the 47715 zip code tested positive for the virus.
So far, two cases of West Nile have been confirmed in Indiana.
The health department plans to continue testing sample groups of mosquitoes.
There’s a possibility the county will start spraying for bugs.
