The owner of Friendship Diner has been ordered to pay nearly $400,000 in back wages to 44 employees.
An investigation into the diner’s owner Bardhyl Shabani was announced in March after he was accused of intimidating workers and denying back pay.
The payment will resolve litigation brought after the Department of Labor investigation found the diner operated an invalid top pool.
Shabani was also ordered to attend a Southern Indiana outreach event on wage laws.
