One person is in the hospital in serious condition following a 5-hour standoff in Owensboro.
On Tuesday A large scale search warrant operation occurred involving the DEA and IRS.
The individual barricaded himself in a home near Southtown Boulevard and Farmview Drive for several hours.
Around 4:15 PM officers heard a loud bang that might have been a gunshot.
Five minutes later a person was removed from the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and put inside of an ambulance.
Police say more information about the incident will be released in a press conference next week.
