A Madisonville couple faces criminal abuse of a child charges.
Investigators say their three-year-old child was never transitioned to solid food.
The couple, Jayda McDowell and Cody Alfred, both 32, claimed the child couldn’t eat solid food because of a disorder that a doctor never diagnosed.
The child was only given milk and had developed calcium deposits on her teeth.
The child is in the custody of social services and is doing well.
The couple is being held on bond of $1,000 cash each.
