Saturday night an Evansville Police officer was conducting speed checks on the Lloyd Expressway when he heard loud revving of engines.
He then saw a pickup truck and a purple Subaru driving at extremely high rates of speed.
The officer clocked the Subaru traveling at 102 mph in a 50 mph zone.
The officer pulled 35-year-old Jemmy Long over and cuffed him immediately.
When asked who won the race, Long told the officer he didn’t know and said, “He flew past me, and I was stupid enough to try and catch up to him”.
Long was charged with speed contest and reckless driving.
