The sixth and final section of the I-69 connection between Evansville and Indianapolis is completed.
Governor Eric Holcomb says the historic milestone was completed three years ahead of schedule.
The opening of the I-69 Finish Line corridor completes not only a direct connection between Evansville and Indianapolis but also to and through Kentucky and Michigan.
The final phase of the 2 billion dollar construction project started in Martinsville in 2019.
The goal of the project was to improve safety and reduce travel time.
