Former Evansville Fire Chief Paul Anslinger has been arrested on felony charges.
A warrant for his arrest was issued on Tuesday for 3 counts of theft and one count of official misconduct.
In April, police confirmed an active investigation involving Anslinger and missing tools.
When questioned, Anslinger told police they were not stolen and he knew where they were.
Police also claim he had a handgun owned by EFD.
He was booked on a $10,000 surety bond around 3:45 Tuesday afternoon, then bonded out.
