The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility, along with Wessler Engineering will be conducting smoke testing through early September.
Fans will blow simulated smoke through the sanitary sewer system.
This alerts technicians to cracked or broken sewer lines, and eroded utility holes.
The smoke is non-toxic and will not harm humans, pets, or plants.
