Investigators with the National Weather Service confirmed that as many as six tornadoes slammed into the tri-state on Tuesday.
First, an EF-1 with 105 miles per hour winds, hit near Grove Center in Union County.
Next, an EF-1 with 100 MPH winds spawned between Morganfield and Uniontown.
An EF-3 with 1540 mph winds hit Mt. Vernon destroying a warehouse and derailing a train.
There was an EF-1 strike near Springfield and an EF-2 near Poseyville.
The last, an EF-1 hit Gibson County near Patoka.
