Trial for an Evansville man accused of murdering his grandmother is set to begin today.
John Stevens is accused of killing 85-year-old Betty Stevens in 2022 at her home on East Michigan Street.
John reportedly told dispatchers Betty was dead in the backyard, then told officers not to come there.
The charges included fighting with officers before later being charged with murder.
