Ham operators from the Tri-state Amateur Radio Society in Evansville participate in a national exercise from 1:00 PM Saturday until 1:00 PM Sunday.
The ARRL Field Day is a showcase for how amateur radio works reliably, anywhere, under any conditions to create an independent communications network.
It’ll be at the American Red Cross facility in Evansville.
The public is invited.
There are more than 750,000 licensed hams in the United States, some as young as 9.
