An Evansville police officer has resigned following an investigation of the department’s A-I technology.
Chief Phillip Smith says 5-year veteran Michael Dockery misused software that allows facial recognition for nine searches.
These searches did not match the case numbers he used.
Dockery resigned before the Police Merit Commission could make a final determination for his termination.
