Incumbent Owensboro mayor Tom Watson and City Commissioner Pamala Smith-Wright have won the right to go face-to-face with the voters for the city’s office of mayor.
Watson garnered 36 percent of the vote in yesterday’s primary with Smith-Wight trailing by just four points.
Former mayor Ron Payne finished third and will not be on the November ballot
He got just 20 percent of the vote.
