A free youth fishing tournament event is happening this Saturday in Owensboro.
King Kat will give away 500 fishing poles and 500 tackle boxes while supplies last.
Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded that day at the Owensboro Convention Center.
The KingKids youth fishing tournament will run from 9 am to 11 am at Yellow Creek Park.
No pre-registration is required.
