A single-vehicle accident in Spencer County proved fatal to the vehicle driver.
It happened off County Road 1200 North near Lamar.
Investigators say a car ran off the road and plunged down an embankment.
The Spencer County coroner’s office says the driver, 44-year-old Matthew Weber of Santa Claus, died at the scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
Authorities are looking into the possibility that a medical emergency may have been a contributing cause of the crash.
