A Henderson man is alive today thanks to the courageous first responders who rescued him from a grain bin in Henderson Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say he became trapped after the bin malfunctioned.
His co-workers called for help once they noticed they hadn’t heard from him for a few hours.
Corydon Fire Chief Brian Coghill says it took hours to rescue him because the grain was compressing him making it hard to move.
Firefighters had to cut into the side of the silo and suspend ropes from the fire truck’s ladder over the top to get him out.
He was flown to an area hospital to be checked out.
