Former EPD chief Billy Bolin has accepted a new role across the bridge and will soon take over as the new Henderson Police Chief.
It was announced Tuesday during a specially called meeting and a unanimous vote.
Mayor Brad Staton says Bolin is starting immediately as a police consultant and will become chief after completing the required accreditation.
Interim Chief of Police Bob Schoultz will remain the head of the department until then.
Last month, former chief Sean McKinney resigned from his position due to family health issues.
